Homeosinaitry, the convergence of Traditional Chinese Medicine and homeopathy has a history dating back to the 18th century writings of homeopathy’s founder, Samuel Hahnemann and the palpation studies of his colleague, Gottfried Rademacher. Homeosinaitry’s roots extend into the work of the Weihe family, three generations of German physicians and homeopaths who mapped out the diagnostic relationships between acupuncture points and homeopathic remedy indications; and their disciple, Roger de La Fuye pioneer of clinical applications of the acupoint-homeopathic remedy correspondences. In modern times practitioners such as Prakash Vakil, adaptor of TCM tongue diagnosis to homeopathic diagnosis; and Jerry Kantor whose reformulation of Five Phase theory accommodates the primacy of the five senses have paved the way to a full-scale synthesis of TCM and homeopathic theory.
